About Us

Dubray Books is Ireland's leading dedicated bookseller. We began as a single shop in 1973, founded by Helen Clear in the seaside town of Bray in Co. Wicklow. Helen’s daughter Gemma and her husband Kevin took over the business in 1988, growing the group to a ten store estate with shops in Grafton St, Dundrum, Cork, Rathmines, Stillorgan, Galway, Blackrock, Dun Laoghaire and Liffey Valley.

At Dubray, reading is our passion: we are staffed by booklovers, for booklovers. Recommendations are our speciality and our team are always happy to help you discover new reads, explore favourite genres, or to identify the perfect gift for any occasion – including our Personal Shopper and Book Subscription services. Our monthly Dubray Staff Recommended Reads have been read and reviewed by our booksellers, and our Dubray Favourites showcase the very best new children’s releases as researched by our enthusiastic team of children’s booksellers.

We pride ourselves on our book range, with up to 15,000 titles per store, with every category containing classics old and new.
